Travelling? Know 15 items you must pack in your kitty!

Its that time of the year, when everyone is at their gleeful best…A New Year is round the corner, its raining offers everywhere, less work since clients are on vacation, loads of travel plans & parties too… πŸ™‚

Looking great during travel doesn’t necessarily mean you pack everything but your bathroom sink.

Here is a list of what all are bare minimum products in your beauty kit before you travel..

1. TINTED MOISTURIZER

It hydrates the skin, provides decent coverage & some come with SPF too.

An ideal multi-tasker to cut out 2 extra products (day cream & foundation) from your kitty… But do carry a foundation if you are looking for full coverage

Some choices for you:

  • Ponds Age Miracle Tinted Moisturizer
  • Oriflame Very Me Peach Me Tinted Moisturizer
  • Maybelline BB Cream with SPF18
  • Elf Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20

2. WATERPROOF MASCARA

Add that extra oomph to your eyes with those voluminous, never-ending lashes… but don’t forget to carry a waterproof one.

Some choices would be:

  • Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Waterproof Mascara
  • Maybelline The Hypercurl Volume Express Waterproof Mascara
  • Loreal Extra Volume Collagene Waterproof Mascara
Β
3. LIP BALM
Change in weather & humidity can strip the moisture from your lips. Get a tinted lip balm with you to add a flush of color to your lips or get one fortified with vitamins or natural goodness like aloe vera.
Options for you:
  • Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip balms
  • Nivea flavored lip balms (Guava, Pomegranate, Strawberry – they come tinted)
  • Avon Lip balms
  • TBS Lip balms & Chapsticks
Β
4. CONCEALER
Got dark circles? Or a couple of blemishes to cover up?
Don’t forget to throw in a concealer to your kitty…
Inglot concealers are a big hit!
5. A NEUTRAL MAKEUP PALETTE
A neutral eye palette comes with versatile shades apt for most of the occasions you might end up being during your travel.
Mix n match the shades and enjoy your time.. without having to worry about your excess makeup luggage.
6. SUNSCREEN
You thought you will give this a miss? Β Nay!
Take along a pore-friendly (non-comedogenic) sunscreen or sunblock with high SPF content.
Neutrogena Dry Touch SPF 50 Sunblock & Lotus Herbals SPF 50 Sunblock Mist would be my choices.
7. BODY LOTION
All care for the face only? And nothing really for your body? Nay!!
Toss in a body lotion with some natural goodness or suitable for the climate of the place you are visiting..
8. BLOTTING PAPER/WET WIPES/ DRY TISSUES
These are an absolute must…
Wanna blot oil on the go? Get rid of the sweat? Always keep some blotting paper & dry tissues handy.
Too lazy after loads of travelling? Β Wet wipes come to your rescue when you really don’t have the strength to get rid of makeup.
9. BATH SALTS
They are absolute bliss in hectic times…. You must be really tired with all those commuting, sight-seeing & catching up with the tour..
Bath salts enriched with exotic herbs help you in getting relaxed & refreshed in just one single bath!
Soulflower has some amazing bath salts collection at great prices!
10. BREAKOUT BUSTER
This is an absolute must while travelling.. Pollution & dust can cause breakouts or zits and these products come for immediate rescue.
Acnes Sealing Gel, Garnier Pimple Pen are few products available in the market.
Essentially, pick a product that contains “salicylic acid” to target the zits.
Β
11. NIGHT CREAM
No skipping this! Your skin actually needs much comfort when you are in tight schedules & travel…
Few good choices would be from Ponds or Olay.
12. DRY SHAMPOO
In days when you don’t really have time to wash your hair before getting out.. dry shampoos help in buying some extra time.
They absorb excess oil on the scalp & don’t suppress volume too by adding bounce to the hair.
Options:
  • Toni & Guy Dry Shampoo
  • Lush Dry Shampoo
13. MINI HAIR DRYER
A mini-hair dryer is a must to toss in to your baggage.
In humid areas or hill stations where your hair takes longer time to dry naturally.. you will miss your hair dryer badly! πŸ™‚
14. SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER SACHETS
Don’t carry along the big bottle of your favorite shampoo/conditioner that you store in your bathroom shelf.
Pick sachets of the same, so that it isn’t heavy or take out a little of them each in travel-size containers.
15. HAIR SERUM/LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER
This is another must for any type of hair.
Dry, damaged or frizz-prone hair tend to behave more badly over travel due to change in water & humidity.
Oily hair too tends to become oily more quickly due to excessive travelling.
Anything else you would like to add to this list? Or any other product that you consider is a must-have for you during travel?
