The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner

Hi gals!!!
Today I am gonna review a product from my September Vellvette box.
It is The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner.

Team Vellvette sent a good quantity of this toner.. which is
usually the trial size we get from TBS stores for INR 250-400.
I have been using this toner for little more than a week now
& wanted to review it soon for you all.
Quantity: 60 ml.
Shelf life: Not mentioned.
Ingredients: Mentioned on the label.
Packaging:
A sturdy, transparent bottle with a flip-open cap. The nozzle is aptly sized to let decent amount of product come out for each use.
What the product claims:
Alcohol-free toning liquid. Suitable for all skin types.
A hydrating toner that removes traces of cleanser, dirt & makeup without drying the skin, leaving it feeling soft, supple & refreshed.
It leaves a velvety feel on the skin & prepares the skin to absorb moisturizer.
The way I see it:
The toner is a transparent liquid with a slightly thicker consistency when compared to other toners available in the market.
I presume the thicker consistency is due to the Vitamin E emulsion in the product.
The fragrance is mildly floral and quite pleasant. Even sensitive noses can use this toner without being bothered.
I was hoping that the fragrance was fine… coz I was expecting this toner to smell something medicinal… 😀
I didn’t find this toner removing any impurities or dirt from my face… probably my makeup remover + cleanser + massage gel did all the job??!!
So really cannot comment on the “drawing out impurities from the skin” factor.
The toner lives upto its claim of hydration… it definitely prepares the skin for moisturization with some basic hydration.. one can really feel the skin is supple after using the product.
In the coming months, we all would be looking for products that offer hydration, long-lasting moisture and so on… and this product fits the bill perfectly.
I cannot really talk about the “pore problem” too… since I do not have any pore issues with my skin.
It is alcohol-free too…. so even oily-skinned & sensitive-skinned beauties can use it without worries.
I miss the slightly tightening effect that I get from Oriflame’s Lavender & Blueberry Calming Toner though!
I am liking to use the product now & would like during the coming fry months too.. Not sure how much it would suit during summer.
Overall, this is a nice hydrating toner that prepares the skin for moisturization and apt for the dry months.
Not any great product though!
This product might pinch your pocket too.. for a bigger size.
The ‘Yes’ factors:
  • No alcohol content
  • Suitable for all skin types
  • Apt for the drier months
  • Hydrates the skin
  • Mild fragrance

The ‘Nay’ factors:
  • Pricey
  • Available only in TBS stores

HnB rating: 3.5/5
Recommend? – Yes.. if you are looking for additional hydration from your products during the monsoon-winter months.
Repurchase? – No! I am interested in their Natrulift Pomegranate toner though! 🙂
