Soulflower Jasmine Handmade Soap – Review

Buddies..
The product under review today is a handmade soap from Soulflower in Jasmine Fragrance.
I received this soap as part of a surprise gift from Fashion & You. You can read more on the surprise gift here.
What the product claims:
100% Vegan Organic Soap!
Soulflower soap is made with vegetable oils of olive, rice bran, castor coconut & palm oil. During the natural saponification of these oils, soap is produced. Glycerin is a natural by-product of our soap making & has humectants properties, attracting moisture to your skin, making it softer & smoother  – one of the main reasons that our soaps are so beautiful on the skin.
This soap does not use any animal produce like milk or honey.
Jasmine Essential Oil
This soap has jasmine essential oil added in it, which acts as:
·         An antidepressant
·         An aphrodisiac
·         Intoxicating scent
The fragrance is incredibly soothing and uplifting and melts away negative feelings & inhibitions.
Ingredients:
Jasmine Essential Oil, Fresh jasmine flowers, Vitamin E, Glycerin, Aqua, Olive, Coconut, Castor, Palm & Palm kernel oil.
Price: INR 200 for 150 gm.
Shelf life: 3 yrs from packaging
Packaging:
The soap comes in a simple packaging, wrapped in a transparent plastic cover and a label mentioning good amount of details about the product.
The way I see it:
The product is strongly scented and one can smell it even when it is unopened out of its wrapper. So people who like jasmine fragrance are gonna love it.
Coming to the look n feel factor, the soap is biscuit brown in color and has few crushed jasmine flowers here and there which add a pinkish tinge to the bar. It’s a pretty huge bar and soft to feel too. Full marks on this front.
The soap lathers really well for a natural product – surprising!!  And if you throw in a loofah – more lather you get.
But it doesn’t smell that strong while in the shower, but does leave a lingering jasmine fragrance back in the bathroom.. J
It is also not drying as other soaps but yes.. you have to follow up with a moisturizer.
Overall, it’s a good soap with mild fragrance and not a disappointing purchase.
The ‘Yes’ factors:
  • Natural jasmine fragrance
  • Good sized bar
  • No colors or additives
  • Impressive ingredients
  • Earth friendly
The ‘Nay’ factors:
I don’t have any cons for this product. I just wished its fragrance lingered on my skin a little more… J
HnB ratings:
