Rina Ketty Essential Musk Moisturising Hand & Body Lotion – Product Review

Hey blog pals,This time the product review is on Rina Ketty Essential Musk – Moisturising Hand & Body Lotion.

I first purchased and used this product when I was in Dubai, a couple of years back. Had asked my husband to get this for me last year again, since I really loved this body lotion.

I have used almost half of the second bottle this time and thought of reviewing it for HnB.

Though many foreign products are available in India these days, I have never found this particular moisturizer anywhere in Chennai, Bangalore or Hyderabad 🙁

See the pic below for the list of ingredients.

Price: AED 15 (~ INR 185) for 625 ml. (including 25% extra quantity)

Shelf life: 3 yrs.

The lotion comes in a white plastic container with a flip-open cap. The packaging is very simple.. yet I find it attractive for some reason I am yet to find out 🙂

The packaging is neat and hygienic but definitely not travel-friendly.

What the product claims:

This product is formulated and developed in England by Vivalis Ltd., Lancashire.

The below pic gives the product claim.

The way I see it:

Musk is one of my favorite fragrances be it in perfume or deos. When I was shopping and found a moisturizer with musk in it for the first time… I made sure I picked this product.

Its a nice moisturizer which is ideal for normal or oily skin, I would say. Dry skin people may have to re-apply after 3-4 hours probably. These days even my skin is turning to be a little dry from normal.

The moisturising effect stays put easily for a good amount of 6-7 hours. One may require re-application if they sit in the A/C for hours together.

Coming to the texture, its more of a cream than a lotion but gets absorbed easily into the skin without much effort.

It leaves a mild musk fragrance which I personally love… though the fragrance does not linger for long. You can sniff it out anyways.. 🙂

But I am sad that this product is not available in India (atleast in the cities I have checked out!)… and also no different sizes of the product are marketed even abroad to test the product with a small size purchase.

One would also hate to take this big a container during travel.

Good product and worth the money for the quantity!

The ‘Yes’ factors:

  • Good moisturiser
  • Quantity worth the money
  • Decently priced
  • Sturdy packaging

The ‘Nay’ factors:

  • Not available in India
  • Smaller sized packaging not available
  • Musk could be a strong fragrance for the sensitive noses out there

HnB rating:

Availability: Though easily available abroad, not available at all in India. So no points for the same.

Pricing: 5/5

Packaging: 3/5 ( 1 minus for no small packaging)

Overall product: 4/5

Repurchase? – Unsure! Well, I am close to completing my second bottle and kinda a bit tired of musk now.
