Revlon Eyeliner Pencil in Black #11 – Review!

Hey buddies…Howz the day goin? Have the rain gods come there?

Today’s review is on Revlon’s eyeliner pencil in Black.

I have been using this eyepencil for long until Colossal Kajal happened to me. This one got shelved and totally ignored for months now.

So why not review it today for you all…

Price: Approx. INR 200 for 1.14 g (its been quite long i picked this)

Packaging:

Traditional kohl pencil that needs sharpening.

The entire pencil including the lid – is of the same color as the kajal, in this range. The details are printed in gold which is classy. The lid fits snugly to the pencil too.

Overall decent packaging and one that is easy to identify in a cluster of pencils.

Shelf life: 2 years from mfg.

Ingredients: Not listed.

The way I see it:

Nice dark black shade which everyone will love. Not the blackest black though…

One swipe is good enough to get a decent kohl lining. Has no glitters – hence safe to use on waterline also.

Easy to apply and no tugging required. I generally use 2-3 swipes to get the desired black.

Has so far not irritated my eyes – even though I shelved it for months and used it after a long time.

Requires sharpening, thus making it more hygienic whereas it also leads to product wastage.

Now 2 big things I wanna mention here is – this kohl is not smudge-proof nor water-proof.

2 hours is all you need to become a panda.. (better learn kung-fu too!) 🙂 It starts to fade in say 5 hrs.

If you are emotional or love getting drenched in the rain – sorry this is not for you! Just mention water, this will start smudging and spreading around!

Though it is not waterproof, it doesn’t easily get washed away. A normal face wash too leaves traces of the liner on the eyes. A makeup remover is the best weapon to get rid of this raccooner!

The ‘Yes’ factors:

  • Decent pricing
  • Easy to identify in a stack of pencils
  • Nice black shade
  • Safe on waterline, non-irritating

The ‘Nay’ factors:

  • Not smudge-proof
  • Not water-proof also
  • Starts smudging in just 2 hrs.
  • Requires sharpening

HnB rating: 2.5/5

Repurchase? – Nay! I really love the black shade but not planning to become a panda anytime soon! 🙂

Recommend? – Best left in the Revlon counter only! Try Colossal…

Love,
HnB
