Pond’s Flawless White Vitamin Soak Lightening Facial Mask

Heyya people…Weekend is close… Excited?? I have got a working weekend though 🙁

Okay.. coming to the review.. I wanted to talk about Ponds Flawless White Vitamin Soak Lightening Facial Mask today.

This is my third product from this range. I have earlier tried & reviewed Ponds Flawless White Re-brightening Night Treatment Cream and Ponds Flawless White Deep Whitening Facial Foam in the blog.

I really liked the night cream & face wash from this range.

Mr.Hubby somehow remembered this (wondering how?) and got this for me when we were shopping 2-3 months back.

Price: INR 549 for 5 masks.

Shelf life: 3 yrs.

Each of the 5 masks come individually packed in a foil-like packaging with outer carton box.

Totally travel friendly & non-messy.

The way I see it:

Each sheet mask is designed in the shape of a human face.

The mask has been designed in such a way that it would suit most face sizes – round, oval, etc. and also would cover the entire face.

Keeping up with its name, its actually a ‘soak’ – the product would almost drip from the sheet.

I think its some serum that is used on the sheets to make a mask, from Ponds Flawless White range only.

The smell is characteristic of Ponds – or I would say particular to the Flawless White range. Something I love! 🙂

I usually put this sheet mask on my cleansed face while lying on the bed and leave it on for 15-20 minutes.

Though the packaging says leave it for 10 minutes only, I continue to keep it on for 10 more minutes, since I don’t find any change within the first 10 minutes…

Even after 20 minutes, you can find a lot of serum still left in the sheet. I generally squeeze it on my face while lying down only, and gently pat it all over my face.

I don’t wash my face immediately after removing the sheet mask & do so only after an hour or more.

You must all be wondering how well it fared… Well, I m coming to that… 🙂

It gave the much needed moisturization my skin needed in the winters.

It also gave some brightening to the facial skin – which was shortlived only about 3-5 hrs.

The skin is back to square one after some time.

Whitening/Lightening? – I seriously didn’t expect it to do that part… It didn’t work too.

Ponds mentions to use this product 2-3 times a week, thereby making one box of 5 sheets last for max. 2 weeks only. In this way, these sheet masks are pricey I feel.

This product would not suit oily skin for sure… combination skinned may give this a try during the dry months.

Overall, not a great product or a must have – can be easily given a miss.

The ‘Yay’ factors:

  • Individual sachets
  • Travel friendly
  • Hygienic packaging
  • Loaded with serum
  • Characteristic Ponds fragrance
  • Hydrates very well
  • Non-messy to use
  • Brightens the skin
  • Perfect for dry or normal skinned
The ‘Nay’ factors:
  • Only pack of 5 available – No single sachet option
  • Brightening is short-lived
  • No lightening/whitening
  • Won’t suit oily skinned
Repurchase? – Nope.. never!
Recommend? – Can be given a miss. Nothing great about it.
It would be good if Ponds comes up with individual sachets of these sheet masks for sale, so that we can give one a try before going for a bigger pack.
Plus one can pick this just for travel purposes only too, if available individually.
