Oriflame Giordani Gold Jewel Lipstick (Dusky Nude)

Hey all…

Another pretty lipstick to be reviewed in the blog today… Oriflame’s Giordani Gold Jewel Lipstick in Dusky Nude.

I am a sucker for pretty packaging & had to get this just for the classic case the lipstick comes in.

The lipstick shade suiting me is just an added bonus! 🙂

Price: INR 598

Packaging:

The lipstick comes in a mirror finish gold case with some simple motifs embellished at the bottom that’s pretty!

The letter ‘G’ for Oriflame’s famous Giordani range is embossed on the cap as well.

Any gal would fall for this heavy metallic packaging, but fingerprints on the mirror finish causes it to look dirty easily.

If you have quite a few lipsticks from this range, you are gonna have a tough time making out which one is what shade – the shade names are printed in the smallest possible font in a label at the bottom.

The way I see it:

I casually happened to pick this lipstick just for the casing & hence decided to pick the ‘Dusky Nude’.

The bullet looks brownish but the shade comes out far more lighter than expected.

The shade is a lovely peachy pink which goes like a subtle tint on the lips.

I quite like the shade, but seriously wish it was pigmented better. I need atleast 2-3 swipes to cover my lip pigmentation before getting that MLBB finish.

The fragrance is mild & not overpowering.

It wears on like I got some naturally rose lips. The finish is semi-glossy on the lips.

Its moisturising on the lips. I don’t feel the need to use a lip balm underneath when I wear this one.

It doesn’t settle into fine lines nor highlight them.

The staying power again is average for about 2 hrs. without any meals or drinks in between.

It vanishes off leaving a pretty, very subtle rosy tint with drinks or food.

Overall, I like this lipstick just for its packaging & the shade. It still needs to improve a lot in terms of pigmentation & staying power at such a price!

I am not sure if the issue is with only this shade & whether the other darker shades are better in terms of pigmentation/staying power.

While I keep hunting for a nicer MLBB shade for my lips, I won’t hesitate to use this lipstick until then! 😀

Suggestions welcome gals.. to get myself that perfect nude shade 🙂
