NARS Dolce Vita Blush is the product under the review scanner today. This is my first blush from NARS and I think I will go back for more!
This is one of the iconic blushes in the makeup industry alongside other NARS blushes like Orgasm, Super Orgasm & Taj Mahal!
Price: USD 30 (INR 1900 – 2100 from Strawberrynet)
The way I see it:
NARS Dolce Vita blush is “a matte dusty rose” aptly termed by the brand. Its a dusty pink with red undertones that is bound to suit almost all the skintones out there.
Being matte, it doesn’t highlight pores nor does it look dry or powdery on the skin.
NARS Dolce Vita blush is insanely pigmented that one has to be very very careful with the quantity they pick using a brush. Its easy to blend owing to its silky texture & doesn’t go patchy inspite of heavy pigmentation combined with its matte formula.
The result is a natural, healthy-looking color for the cheeks that brightens up the face instantly.
Its stays put easily on me for about 7 hrs. after which it begins to fade.
Not to forget the packaging.. a matte black casing that shuts tight. The lid has a mirror & the blush comes with a transparent cover with NARS print.
Though it looks classy & the mirror is useful for on the go touch-ups, the matte rubberized casing is prone to dust & fingerprints!! 🙁
If you are into matte blushes like me & love some healthy flush on the cheeks with just a pinch of product, you should definitely the NARS Dolce Vita blush.
Leaving you with the swatches & FOTD…
I have applied it with a very light hand in the above FOTD.
It definitely makes sense why NARS is considered “the ultimate authority in blushes” after trying NARS Dolce Vita blush, with almost all of their blushes becoming cult favorites all over the world!!
Trivia for you –
Dolce Vita originates from Italian, meaning “a life of full of pleasure, luxury & indulgence”.
Live La Dolce Vita buddies 😀
