Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Mud Pack

Hey dear ones…Howz the week shaping up? Mine is going just fine…. 🙂

Ever since these Montagne face packs landed in India, I have been wanting to try atleast one. I have added these sachets many a times to my cart but finally ended up chucking them out…

Finally, I did pick this Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Mud Pack from the local New U store along with a haircare product from the same line.

I have reviewed the Montagne Jeunesse Volume Miracle & Ultra Shine Serum already in the blog HERE.

Price: INR 150 per sachet.

Shelf life: 3 yrs.

Once opened, its good to finish it up at the earliest possible – say in 2 days time atleast.

What the product claims:

The way I see it:

The word “dead sea” got the better of me & I was all excited to try this pack… I had started imagining that post removal of the pack, I am gonna have skin as good as Cleopatra!

Jokes apart! This is really the first time I am trying something that says is from the dead sea. Naturally expectations were high.

The pack is of ice-blue color and is creamy in consistency. (I freaked out my 3 yr. old neighbor’s kid with this face pack on, who lovingly came running to me..she calls me ‘auntiee’, tat’s a different story!)

It applies easily on the skin and you wouldn’t need to layer it also. Plus it washes off quickly too.

One sachet would last 2 uses if used both on the face & neck. It is also advised to store this in the refrigerator until your next usage, once open.

It dries quickly in 7-8 minutes & turns to a whitish blue. I can’t remember how this pack smelled…

I always massage my face pack with some rose water spritzed over once they dry, which I did with this one too.

Upon removal, I noticed clear, bright skin that would actually give one the sense that it has been ‘cleansed’.

Since in summers my skin is tends to be a little on the combination type, I didn’t feel much drying caused by this face pack. Otherwise, I am sure this face pack would have been a little drying on me during the dry months.

What I was trying to say in the above line is – a moisturiser follow-up is necessary! :p

The brightness as expected was short-lived, for about 2-3 hrs. after usage.

Overall, this is a decent face pack for those who are looking for deep cleansing ones or quick fix in time of a hurry.

I have mixed feeling about this face pack mainly driven by the factor that it comes in a “sachet” – I hate products that come in a sachet!

But yeah.. these sachets can be handy while travelling.

The ‘Yay’ factors:

  • Easily available online, Health & Glow & New U stores these days
  • Easy to apply
  • Handy while travelling
  • Deeply cleanses the skin
  • Brightens too (short-lived!)
  • Easy to wash off
  • ‘Dead sea’ factor
  • Ideal for oily skinned

The ‘Nay’ factors:
  • SACHET!
  • 150 bucks for 2 uses
  • Could be a little drying on normal-dry skinned
I don’t know if I would buy Montagne Jeunesse face packs again.. though I have my eye on their Rose Amour face pack, just for the rose fragrance!
In a corner of my heart, I do feel these Montagne Jeunesse packs do not deserve the hype they seem to have around – at the same time I am amazed at the variety they have to offer!
