Lotus Whiteglow Oatmeal & Yoghurt Scrub

Heyya people..Howz the weekend going? Mine’s a little hectic.. 🙂

Today’s review is on Lotus Whiteglow Oatmeal & Yoghurt Whitening Scub.

I share a love-hate relationship with Lotus products like its with Lakme.

I was looking for a scrub that does not contain walnut shell for a scrub.. Its become so boring you know!

I started using my own DIY gel scrub for sometime… but then I always wanted a ready-to-use product when in a hurry or travelling.

That is when I picked up this scrub from the Lotus Whiteglow scrub.

Price: INR 165

Shelf life: 3 yrs.

Ingredients: Check out the below pic.

Packaging:

Screw-on cap on a white tube. Simple yet classy packaging. I find it lovely in my bathroom closet.. 🙂

What the product claims:

The way I see it:

I was so much in love with oatmeal granules in my DIY Gel Scrub..this continued with this product also.

The product is thick & creamy in texture and bright white in color.

Yoghurt is known for skin lightening & Oatmeal for its moisturising properties.

The fragrance is mild..nothing of yoghurt or oatmeal though… it is soothing & would not bother sensitive noses for sure.

The granules are bigger and do the scrubbing job perfectly.. though sensitive skins may find it a little harsh.

For my normal-dry skin, I scrub twice a week & I am satisfied with the scrub from these granules.

I apply the scrub on moist skin, massage it a little for a minute or so, then leave it on for 3-5 minutes as such.

Then with wet hands & some face wash/cleanser, I massage the scrub a little more on the face & neck to get the actual job done. This way I get some massaging done & also no harsh rubbing on the skin too.

There is no whitening as claimed by the product.. I never expected too.

The skin feels soft and is not stretchy post usage. With regular usage I am sure it can get rid of blackheads& whiteheads too.

I can see that the dry flaky skin around my nose is getting better with usage.

Overall, a nice scrub from Lotus, a welcoming change from the generic walnut shell granules, suitable for all skin types. It might be a little harsh for sensitive skin.

The ‘Yes’ factors:

  • Easily available
  • Decent pricing
  • Oatmeal granules instead of walnut shell
  • Interesting key ingredients
  • Mild, soothing fragrance
  • Suitable for all skin types
  • Does good scrubbing

The ‘Nay’ factors:

  • Whitening is a false claim

HnB rating: 4.5/5
