Lotus Herbals Jojoba Nourishing Face Wash

Good evening all..Let’s check out Lotus Herbals Jojoba Nourishing Face Wash in this review.

I received this as a gift with some other purchases of mine.

Price: INR 75 for 50 g.

Shelf life: 3 yrs.

Ingredients:

Packaging:

It comes in a transparent tube with a flip-open cap. Compact & travel-friendly.

But the nozzle is a tad big – so a lot more product than required for a single use ends up in your hand.

What the product claims:

The way I see it:

The face wash is a transparent, gooey gel with pastel orange & blue beads in it.

Lotus claims that these beads are active milli-capsules. One is supposed to crush these beads before lathering the product.

The fragrance of the product is fresh & botanical yet mild – I like it!

The product lathers really well and leaves back a clean skin free of dirt & grime.

Lotus also claims that this face wash is suitable for all skin types. But IMO, this product is suitable for oily-combination skinned people.

But, I am not sure on the mattifying effect of this…

I am normal skinned, a little on the drier side though – I feel there are some areas on my face that feel dry after using this.

I am not saying it makes me feel dry & stretchy, but just dry a little here & there – like the corners of my nose (nothing that a moisturizer cannot take care of!).

If you are dry-skinned (or very dry) already, I would suggest to better keep away from this product.

It does not remove waterproof makeup but manages to remove face makeup to an extent. I always use a makeup remover + cleansing milk regime before using a face wash, so not an issue for me.

It has never stung my eyes. This small tube would last a month easily with twice a day usage (only if u managed to control product flow from the nozzle!).

Let’s take a look at the claims –

Cleans – Yes!
Nourishes – Nay!
Softens – No difference – a nay?

Overall, a decent face wash good for combination-oily skinned. Normal-dry skinned must follow up with a moisturizer.

The ‘Yay’ factors:

  • Compact tube
  • No added colors
  • Lathers very well
  • Fresh botanical scent
  • Suitable for combination-oily skin
  • Does not sting the eyes
  • Trial size available

The ‘Nay’ factors:
  • Milli-capsules are of no use
  • Nozzle is a little big
  • Dries the skin a little bit (on normal skin)
  • 75 bucks for such quantity could be pricey for some

Recommend? – Give this small tube a try to see if it suits you – won’t hurt your pocket 🙂
