L’oreal Kajal Magique

Hey all…

Christmas & New Year are close by? What plans people? Any resolutions on the cards? I am yet to think on making some… 😀

That apart… here is a review of the latest kohl in the market… L’oreal Kajal Magique!

The blog world is galore with reviews on this new eye pencil & here is my take on it….

Price: INR 245

What the product claims:

The pencil comes in a black twist-up pencil (on the lines of Maybelline Colossal & Lakme Eyeconic).

Infact it looks quite similar to the Lakme Eyeconic one. This one has a magenta band while Lakme has a turquoise one.

The way I see it:

Being a twist-up one, this requires no sharpening.. hence no product wastage!

The kohl is quite creamy, glides on easily on the skin.

It is waterproof & smudgeproof too… it sets quite quick when applied & sits on tightly practically for the whole day on my upper eyelid.

In the waterline, it manages to stay on for about 3 hrs. & wears off unevenly.

Coming to its pigmentation… L’oreal claims this kohl to be ‘Supreme Black’.. which ain’t the case!

I need atleast 2 swipes to get desired pigmentation on the upper lashline while it takes about 5-6 swipes easily to get a nice dark black line in the waterline.

This is a big let down!!! 6 swipes and you call it ‘supreme black’…rather ‘slow black’ it is! 😀

Most kohls stay put for very less time on my watery waterline.. hence this managing to lay around there for 3 hrs. is a good thing for me…

At 245 bucks, this is the priciest of kohls among budget brands in comparison. For me Lakme Eyeconic at 150 bucks does the same job.. more creamier & importantly more pigmented is a hit!

Here is how it looks on me…

I haven’t applied concealer to my dark circles here…. don’t mind.. 😀

I came out of the Colossal world quite long back.. but have picked their latest 12 hr. version of the Colossal Kajal.

Shall do a comparitive post of all the budget brand kajals soon here! 😀

Overall, L’oreal Kajal Magique didn’t manage to do any magic for my eyes. The pigmentation could have been lot better, though its creamy & glides on well. The packaging is a hit too!
