Colourpop Cosmetics has revolutionized the world of liquid lipsticks, making them more affordable and creating them in all possible crazy shades.
Their lippie stix are still worth a mention, good value for money. I have reviewed 5 shades of lippie stix here in the blog – 5 Colourpop Lippie Stix – Review, Swatches & LOTD
Karrueche has been collaborating with Colourpop in earlier instances too, but this time the limited edition collection has all my attention!
Know why? The packaging! I am one big sucker of cute & pretty packaging be it whatever and the latest collection that dropped is all about roses, called the “Fem Rosa” collection.
KARRUECHE x COLOURPOP “FEM ROSA” COLLECTION
Fem Rosa collection is all about roses and feminity that launched in early July this year. The packaging reflects the same in a deep hue of rose with beautiful roses printed all over the packaging. Love at first sight for any girl!
The collection consists of –
- SHE Eyeshadow Palette
- Mixed Finish Lip Collection (sold both as kit and singles)
- HER Face Palette (Blush, Highlighter, Bronzer)
The complete collection got sold out on its launch and got restocked only recently, when I managed to grab the SHE eyeshadow palette and an Ultra Satin Lip single in the shade Mrs.
Its OOS right now and not sure if it will be restocked again.
SHE Eyeshadow Palette
Price – USD 16
The palette comes in a mauvy rose cardboard packaging with roses printed all over the lid, in and out. Looks beautiful to hold in the hand with the golden fonts.
Its very compact in size and should be convenient to travel with.
The palette has 12 shades with pressed powder eyeshadows in different finishes – matte, metallic, satin. The variety of shades it has to offer is also great ranging from taupes, salmon, mauves, pinks and plums. This is such a romantic palette I tell you!
The shades are all heavily pigmented, particularly the sheen of the metallic ones is unmissable. Great color payoff, given the price.
Quality of Colourpop products are always great and having tried one of their eyeshadow singles, I knew what to expect with my first eyeshadow palette from them. Their staying power is amazing and they don’t crease on my hooded lids.
Here are the swatches for you –
(All swatches under sunlight without primer; Swatches of matte shades are single swipe whereas metallics are two swipes)
And this is the look I created with the palette –
I used the shade Missy (matte) all over the lids and Gal (metallic) as an eyeliner for some dramatic winged look. These two are my most favorite shades from the palette and I see myself using them the most.
All the metallic shades make for great eyeliners in my point of view. When applied wet, they have amazing staying power and don’t budge.
P.S. – I suck at applying eyeshadows! Also not really confident sporting some or clicking pictures with them owing to the fine lines under my eyes. Please bear with my eyeshadow skills and the look.
I am so glad I managed to pick this beauty. My only pet peeve – Wish there were more matte shades in this, since I am a matte lover!
Other than that, this palette has everything in it to kill-for.
