Why I like Kama Ayurveda Pure Vetiver Water better than Rose Water

If there is one product that I go through quite easily and empty scores of bottles, it has to be face mists!

My dry skin loves hydrating and refreshing mists throughout the day. I am hooked on to natural face mists for the same reason, so that my facial skin only gets the best.

Kama Ayurveda is a renowned brand for its natural, eco-friendly products and I ordered few skincare and body care products from them.

Kama Rose Water is so raved about in the blogging world and I love the fragrance of vetiver. Was really excited to try both of these out, as it arrived.

Let me first pen down my views on the much raved and reviewed Kama Pure Rose Water.

The rose water is extracted through natural steam distillation of Indian rose petals and is preservative free. It is also devoid of artificial fragrance additives and colors.

The rose water has a very subtle rose fragrance, which is soothing to the senses and doesn’t bother with the nose. It refreshes the skin instantly.

I use it twice a day after cleansing my face and before applying my moisturizer as a toner. I also mix it up in my face masks – DIY powder ones or any ready-to-use masks that I feel is a little thick to apply. It makes for a great spritz after applying mask on the face for some nice massage.

All said and done, it doesn’t feel luxurious as much as it feels natural. I would have definitely liked this a lot more if this was luxurious and indulging, which it lacks in my perspective.

The price is also a little steep for the quantity, but of course its quality speaks for it.

I may not repurchase the rose water in the future.

I have really nice memories of vetiver. Its a great purifier. In Southern India, they use it in water along with green cardamom and other herbs to not just purify, but add a wonderful, divine flavor to the water. Your taste buds will just keep longing for it – its a great thirst quencher too!

I love both its flavor and fragrance and really hoped I like this from Kama unlike their rose water. And I was not left dejected!

I totally love its rejuvenating, calming fragrance and it works as a great toner. I feel it kind of tightens my pores owing to its astringent properties. I reach out to this more often for throughout the day spritzing on the face to hydrate and calm down my skin.

It peps up my mood and brings me sweet memories of my growing up days in Chennai. Potable vetiver water was my grandpa’s favorite summer drink!

The verdict is out already! Kama Ayurveda Vetiver Water wins it hands down for me.

There is no iota of doubt about both these face mists’ quality, just that I felt the rose water had some luxury factor amiss.

That said, these cannot be used over makeup since they are not designed to be used that way. They work great as hydrating toners, astringent or subtly fragrant body mists.

The packaging is sturdy and catchy with its pastel labels. The deep amber container keeps them fresh from sunlight. They are available in travel sizes as on-the-go refreshers.

I think I will always buy this Vetiver water for some quick pep-me-up throughout the day. Rose water – may be I shall pass.

I want to try their Pure Mogra (Jasmine) water too in the near future.

What is my favorite brand of rose water then? Stay tuned for the reveal soon in the blog!
