My lids get to tend a little oily in the summers and no eye makeup seemed to stick to it for long. Also there are few eye makeup products that last forever on many, but for few hours only on me.
I bought this eyeshadow base along with few other products from Cherryculture.
Price: USD 1.99 (approx. INR 110)
Shelf life: Not mentioned.
Ingredients: Not mentioned.
The product comes in a tiny black tub with a see-through lid. The packaging is cute, handy & easy to use.
Its so tiny – that it just doesn’t bother space in your vanity.
What the product claims:
From the Cherryculture website-
- Brightens & Illuminates
- Prolongs wear of eyeshadow
- Dual purpose – Use as a base & highlighter
The way I see the product:
The tub is so tiny that it got lost in my stash.. I picked this while digging out my stuff on Diwali day and have been using it since then daily.
The primer is rosy beige in shade with pink undertones.
The product appears thick & dry in the tub, but a rub on the tub with a little pressure get decent quantity of the product in the finger.
Here’s a close up look at the tub with the product –
It glides smoothly on the eye lids without much effort – though it isn’t that creamier.
It doesn’t crease or look patchy on the skin. Dab some compact/pressed powder over the primer to set it in.
This product was just a random pick – but one that lived upto expectations.
To put it simple – the product does whatever it claims.
It brightens the eye area immediately upon application.
The product is entirely matte & there is no shimmer seen in the tub or while taken in the finger. So, as such I do not see illumination from this primer.
It prolongs the wear of my eyeliners – be it eye pencils or liquid liners.
The best of best of eye pencils in the market used to fade in 4 hrs on my eye lids. With this primer on, I can see that the eye pencils stay on easily for upto 9-10 hrs. without fading or smudging.
This is true even when I am out in the humid climate.
I have not tried using this as a highlighter, but this shade is apt to be used as one from the looks of it.
Only a little product is required. Hence this small tub is gonna last for long long time.
The only drawback I see in this product, is that there is no choice for shade selection.
Only one shade is available which will suit to medium to fair skin tones pretty well. This might look chalky on dusky complexion.
Here is how the shade looks –
Overall, a good eye primer at a dirt cheap price that lives upto expectations, suitable for daily wear.
