Incolor Maxi Precision Eyeliner Pen in Jet Black

Hey gals.. Howz the Friday noon shaping up?I am sure all of us are in love with eyeliner pens these days.. almost every drugstore brand has come up with felt tip eyeliner pens at various prices…

I managed to lay my hands on Incolor Maxi Precision Eyeliner Pen in Jet Black from Fashion&You.

This is my second eyeliner pen, the first one being Oriflame Stylo ages back!

Price: I am not sure of the actual price, but remember getting this for INR 150.

Shelf life: 3 yrs.

Packaging:

The eyeliner pen comes in a glittery outer carton similar to Colorbar ones.

The pen is completely black with silver fonts.

The way I see it:

I hate stickers on any thing I have…this pens is no exception! This came rolled in God knows how many stickers.. those marks left by the gum of the stickers irritate me everytime I pick this one! Argghhh!

With any eyeliner pen, the first thing anybody looks out for is their tip.

This is also a felt tip pen, quite sturdy at that.

But sadly, it doesn’t help in lining thinner lines – medium & thick lines come effortlessly. I wouldn’t say thin lines are totally not possible too…. with a good hand one can get some decent thin lines too.

It ain’t the darkest black around too.

The best thing about this eyeliner is that it is both smudge-proof & water-proof.

Once set it doesn’t budge at all…

Below are the swatches in my hand.. I tried smudging them & ran under them in water.. with much rubbing I managed to remove 50% of the liner from it.

Another issue with felt pens are that, it dries up quickly.

This one lasted 3 months for me with irregular usage & I feel it has dried up now… I am not able to make a single line properly now with this.

The ‘Yay’ factors:

  • Convenience of a pen
  • Cap fits snugly into the body – totally non-messy
  • Sturdy felt tip
  • Simple to use
  • Smudge-proof
  • Water-proof to good extent

The ‘Nay’ factors:
  • Availability
  • Very thin lines may not be possible
  • Dries up over time (like any other pen!)
  • Not really ‘jet black’ as claimed
If you can lay your hands on this one & are a regular eyeliner user like me – worth spending 150 bucks for the non-clumsy, smudge- & water-proof properties.
Currently, I am using Colorbar Ultimate Eyeliner in Black.. review coming up soon!
