Hip Hop Coffee Face Scrub

Happy Thursday gals! How are your shopping plans shaping up? With the rupee seeing southwards day after day, situation does look grim πŸ™

Economy apart.. our life goes on.. CTM routine continues.. we love to look & stay beautiful whatever budget we have! πŸ˜€

Here is one scrub from a local brand being reviewed today – Hip Hop Coffee Face Scrub.

I picked this scrub from a local pharmacy, though Hip Hop products are widely available in various online shopping sites too.

Price: INR 80 for 120 g.

Shelf life: 3 yrs.

What the product claims:

Packaging:

Travel friendly tube with a flip-open cap.

The way I see it:

I’m a crazy coffee lover.. can have it any time of the day… in any form.. beverage, cookies, mousse, brownies, wafers.. just about anything!

This is the first ever coffee-based skincare product that I am trying however. I have been longing to get The Nature’s Co. Coffee Scrub since long, but chanced upon this & immediately picked it.

There is nothing much fancy about the packaging but for the fact that it is functional.

The scrub is a creamy paste with coffee granules as the exfoliants.

This scrub would suit normal-dry skin perfectly since it also claims to have shea butter & wheatgerm oil as it ingredients.

People with other skinned beauties might need to do a patch test to see if this would not cause breakouts.

The coffee fragrance is uplifting & am sure all coffee-lovers would love to use this as part of Β their skincare routine.

A scrub is all about its granules… and I find the granules in this scrub to be a little abrasive on the facial skin. This is totally my personal opinion.. others may find the granules perfect for their scrubbing routine too.

It never broke me out, nevertheless it felt rough on the skin.

However it Β works perfectly as a body polisher. The fragrance lingers on to the skin for about 15 minutes post wash before it fades off.

I don’t think any of us would want to smell like a vending machine.. so the fragrance not lingering around is a blessing.. but while using the product its pure coffee bliss.

For the price its a very good product to be used as a body polisher! πŸ™‚

The ‘Yay’ factors:

  • Compact tube packaging
  • Amazing coffee fragrance
  • Creamy base
  • Granules perfect for a body scrub
  • Ideal for normal-dry skinned
  • Available at pharmacies & online too
  • Good pricing
  • Brand also claims its – Free from animal testing & parabens
  • Dermatologically, micro-biologically & clinically tested
Β
The ‘Nay’ factors:
  • Granules could be abrasive on the facial skin
  • May not suit oily facial skinned
  • Only key ingredients listed
I might buy this scrub again, when I am looking for a dose of coffee in my skincare routine.. for now I have quite a handful of body buffers to finish off! πŸ™‚
