Presenting a different product this time, the Brihans Jasred Hibiscus Hair Gel.
Price: INR 80 for 100 g (25 g. free in this package)
Shelf life: 3 yrs.
What the product claims:
It comes in a transparent plastic jar with a screw-on lid. Not the hygienic of packaging…but considering squeezing out this gel outta the tube with all my energy, I would rather prefer this jar.
I generally use a spatula to take required product out for each usage.
The way I see it:
Few months back, I had severe hairfall. To top it, I found hair falling from the roots & not due to breakage. So any amount of damage or breakage haircare products in the market are not gonna help me.
I switched on to sulphate & silicone free hair products. This product was one such purchase.
I remember my granny making a paste of hibiscus flowers & leaves with fenugreek seeds to be used as a natural shampoo… It used to have a strange fragrance that I hated.. but the goodness was unmatchable.
Hibiscus is known for its hair nourishment & hair growth properties.
Coming back to the gel, its a brick red gooey gel. Its easy to spread & gets absorbed by the scalp easily.
Its got a ‘perfumy’ fragrance which weans on application.
I believe the combo of Patanjali Kesh Kanti Shampoo (click on the product name for the review) & this gel definitely helped me with hair fall.
I apply this hair gel thoroughly to my scalp with light massaging motion & leave it on for 30-45 minutes before wash.
I could see less hairfall in the bath during each wash & the same continued during regular combing over the day.
Also, the gel gave good bounce to the hair – so I never really needed a hair conditioner. The hair had good volume, never felt flat & also a natural shine.
In short, totally loving this combo of the Patanjali shampoo & Brihans gel.
I think I m gonna buy these 2 products forever, until either they stop production or they stop suiting me in the future.
I am one lazy bum when it comes to DIY hair masks or something… hate the bathroom getting messy. So, this product is totally a boon for me 🙂
