DIY – Remove suntan naturally!

Hey gals,A lot of you must have tanning issue with your skin. I am in the same boat as well.

No matter how good & timely we apply a sunscreen, the sun never fails to do its job.

I am one of those special-skinned who tend to get tanned easily. Just one day out in the sun is enough for me to get that tough-to-get-rid-of tan.

Recently I travelled to Chennai and had to be out in the sun on many occasions and no wonder got tanned pretty well too.

I decided to get rid of it naturally and follow it religiously.


Just take 3 spoons of fresh curd and add half a lemon’s juice to it. Mix well and rub it on the tanned areas.

Leave it on the skin for 15-20 minutes and wash it off with plain water.

Ideal for normal-dry skin.

It does not dry out the skin, so no need to follow up with a moisturiser. Let the natural ingredients work on your skin.

It works immediately on a fresh, light tan and for older tans it might take atleast a week or so to show results.

I can definitely see my skin more healthy & some tan removed.

CURD – Contains lactic acid which is a renowned whitening/brightening ingredient for the skin. Loaded with proteins to that repair sun damage. It moisturises the skin well too.

LEMON – Lemon juice is another well-known tan removal agent due to its acidic properties and provides a healthy glow to the skin owing to its vitamin content.


  • Don’t miss your neck and foot too – since we generally tend to focus more on our face & hands when it comes to tanning.
  • It is best to use this potion in the evening/night
  • Never miss to apply sunscreen atleast 20 minutes before stepping out in the sun.
  • Combination-oily skin might give it a try once to see if it breaks out for them or not.
