I am a regular user of Lotus Herbals Sunblock Mist with SPF50 throughout the year. Picked this product, just to take a break from it.
Plus I liked the warm fragrance of this lotion.. 🙂
Price: INR 280 for 210 ml.
Shelf life: 3 yrs.
Check out the below picture for the entire list of ingredients.
The most inconvenient of all – just a white plastic container with a green screw-on lid.
No inner lid, no nozzle, nothing…. I HATE it!
What the product claims:
The way I see it:
As mentioned earlier, everytime I pick this bottle for application – I get irritated!
You just need to be good in physics & possess good hand-and-eye co-ordination to control the flow of the lotion on to your palm.
Initially I ended up with more product than required in my palm & had to slather the extra quantity somewhere on my body. But, like most things, you will get used to it… 🙂
I decided to give this product a try above all the irritations from the packaging – carrots, vit.A & C just drove me mad! 🙂
The lotion is whitish in color & is quite thick in consistency.
The best thing I like about this product is its fragrance – its got a herbalish, strong spicy smell to it.
If you too like herbalish or spicy fragrances.. you will love this too.
Coming to the application part, this lotion gets absorbed quite easily into the skin. You don’t need a separate moisturizer before applying this sunscreen too.
The fragrance lingers on the skin for 15 minutes or so & fades off later.
This product is developed for normal to dry skin and works good both on the hydrating front & sun-protection front.
I tried it only once on my face.. think I used excess product that my face started looking greasy after an hr.
Since then, I have been using this only for my body.
The hydration lasts for upto 6-7 hrs. even in air-conditioned environments, which is great for a drugstore brand.
SPF40 is decent enough for winters and carrot is known for its sun protection properties.
I have not seen any additional tanning with this product’s usage… Yeah.. I would mention additional tanning since I get tanned very easily and yet to remove my existing tan.. 🙁
Removing tinted films from the car has added to my woes…. :bahm: :bahm:
I am actually now thinking of trying fresh carrot face packs, toners & what not….. 😀
Overall, a decent product with good pricing and a great fragrance for spice-lovers. One bottle will last for 2-3 months with regular usage & little product wastage (blame the packaging baby!)
