Coming up now is a review on Bella Cotton Pads.
I really got tired of cotton balls & the surgical cotton we get from pharmacies – tearing, pinching & stuff.
Was extremely happy when I spotted Bella Cotton pads and picked them instantly.
Price: INR 84 for 80 pads
It comes in a tubular, see-through plastic wrapper.
There is a drawstring attached to one end of the packet and the other end has instructions of how/where to cut open the package.
What the product claims:
Cotton pads for cosmetic & hygienic purposes.
The way I see it:
The pads as claimed by the brand are thick & soft.
The cotton shreds does not stick to upon usage – which is very important for me; since I hate cotton or any fibre sticking to my face.
The pad has a wavy pattern embossed on one of its sides – I think this is the reason for it to stay intact throughout usage without tearing or shredding apart.
Since it is thick enough, it can be used both ways and makes for an economical use.
A better picture to show you all the thickness of the pad –
The size of each cotton pad is also apt – neither too small to hold nor too big. This makes holding this pad in the hands or swiping across the face very convenient.
There is no mention whether it is sterilized cotton or not, though the pack mentions that these pads are suitable for hygienic use.
It is better not to use it for first aid or medical purpose – I am presently putting it only for cosmetic use.
These are cheaper on the wallet but availability is a big issue. I found this in Spar sometime back and that is where I picked it. I couldn’t spot these pads anywhere else till date.. i still need to check these in my local H&G though.
I might have to switch to the usual cotton balls again if I don’t get to lay my hands on these… no TBS cotton pads.. coz they burn a hole in my pocket! 😀
I have not cut the pack as mentioned in the wrapper and have instead used the drawstrings.
Here is a pic of how I store the cotton pads when not in use.
Overall, its a great product at an affordable price for daily use & of good quality too. Much more convenient & compact to keep/carry than cotton balls.
The ‘Yes’ factors:
- Good sizing
- Apt thickness for a pad
- Good quality cotton
- Does not tear/shred upon use
- Compact to carry or store
- Decent pricing
