Bath and Body Works Sweet Pea Body Splash – Review

Hey buddies..Today’s review is on a body mist from Bath & Body Works – Sweet Pea Body Splash.

I find body mists to be more soothing than deos or sprays in the summers. I got this as a gift just in the right time before summer arrived.. 🙂

Price: USD 14 for 236 ml.

Packaging:

Comes in a traditional dispenser packaging in a transparent container. The liquid is a subtle pink. The cap on the pump also has a snug fit to the bottle.

Sturdy bottling and see-through container makes it travel friendly & also to check when to repurchase.

Ingredients:

Alcohol Denat, Water, Fragrance, Aloe extract, Sweet violet extract, Propylene glycol, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, Ethylhexyl salicylate, Butyl methoxydibenzoyl-methane, Red 33, Ext. Violet 2

What the product claims:

Body splash is infused with real sweet violet extracts.

The scent of violets mingling with sweet pea petals is heaven on earth, and the inspiration for this delicate fragrance.

How to use:

Spritz all over for a splash of enchanting fragrance.

The way I see it:

To put in simple words – I so, so, love this body splash!

It has a subtle floral fragrance that does not bother one’s nose. The fragrance lingers on the whole day – I mean atleast 8-9 hrs of office.

Its kind of an international fragrance which everybody will love and unisexual too. But, I feel its more feminine due to its floral notes..

The only drawback with this body splash is that – it stings the skin! (kinda major na!)

It initially produces a cooling effect upon spraying on the skin and then few minutes later, it stings the skin which is bearable though.

Hence, I have stopped using this on my skin directly and splash it over my clothes only. It has not caused any staining on the clothes so far and the fragrance too stays around; does not vanish away!

Overall, its a great fragrance, refreshing, stays for long but stings the skin!

The ‘Yes’ factors:
  • Lovely floral fragrance
  • Soothing & refreshing at the same time
  • Ideal for summers
  • Most suited to women
  • Sturdy, transparent packaging
  • Fragrance lasts long

The ‘Nay’ factors:
  • Not available in India
  • Stings the skin upon contact

HnB rating: 4/5 (-.5 for the sting!)

Repurchase? – Well sure… who is gifting me ? 😉

Recommend? – Yuppa! Must try…

Bath & Body Works have a big list of such exotic fragrances and is running some gr8 offers now in the US.

Do check out from their official site.. http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/home/index.jsp

I wish they start retailing them soon in India… I am just drooling over their range for now!

Love,

HnB
