These nail paints were launched earlier this year outside India & with the help of quite a few online swatches, I settled for the following 4 shades –
1. Orange Fix
2. Mint Mojito
3. Dine & Wine
4. Blueberry Ice
All the 4 shades I picked, co-incidentally seem to be named after cocktails 😀
Price: INR 75 for 6 ml.
The way I see it:
The nail paints come in cute round bottles with a black cap. The shade name & number are engraved on top of the bottle cap, to identify them easily within a box.
All the shades finish with a sheen while Dine & Wine has very fine bronze shimmers in it.
Orange Fix & Mint Mojito need 2 coats to an opaque finish whereas Dine & Wine and Blueberry Ice go opaque on the nails in just 1 coat.
The nail paints dry pretty quickly too – in about 5 minutes time totally.
I find the formula of Wine & Dine and Blueberry Ice to be a little thicker than the other two – only thing not to my liking in these nail paints (again its my personal choice!)
These nail paints stayed good on me for 3 days without chipping & their glossy feel did not look faded too with regular household chores.
Overall, a big hit with me & great value for money stuff from Maybelline. It sure knows how to hit the right wicket amongst other drugstore (so-called) brands…. 🙂
These nail paints are a must-have in one’s vanity & come in 40 shades to choose from! 🙂
Which ones are you picking?
